Although we can think of Christmas in terms of joyful and peaceful tradition, the reality of Christmas was that Jesus' birth was in the middle of a mix of unforeseen circumstances and an undesirable location to give birth. In the same way, Jesus comes into the mess of our lives to rescue and redeem us.
