What does it really mean to be the creator of your own life?
It's easy to talk about creating your reality when everything is going well.
But what happens when life gives you something you never asked for?
What happens when someone else's behaviour disrupts your peace?
When you're blindsided?
When your nervous system reacts before your mind has time to catch up?
In this episode, Nikki shares a deeply personal experience of being unexpectedly confronted with something she genuinely believed was over - and the realisationthat being affected is not the same as being defeated.
We explore the difference between controlling what happens to us and choosing what happens next.
Because being the creator of your life doesn't mean you're responsible for everything that happens to you.
It means you refuse to hand over responsibility for what happens next.
We also talk about:
Why healing isn't about becoming someone who is never affected..
The difference between someone else's version of you and your own truth.
Naming someone's delusion for what it is, without stepping into their reality to argue it.
Why you don't have to spend your life defending yourself to someone committed to misunderstanding you.
The importance of recognising what is and isn't yours to control.

Journal with this episode
Where in my life am I trying to control something that isn't mine to control?
What is mine to choose?
What is mine to create?
Where have I handed someone else the pen?
And finally:
When life gives me something I never asked for, what do I want to create from it?
💭 A final thought
You didn't choose everything that happened to you.
You don't have to pretend it didn't hurt.
You don't have to be grateful for it.
You don't have to become fearless.
But you can still choose what happens next.
Someone else may write something painful into your story. They don't get to write the ending.
