Have you ever started a book or a movie in the middle? It’s confusing. You don’t know the characters, you’ve missed the setup, and nothing quite makes sense. To truly understand a story, you have to start at the beginning. The Gospel of John doesn’t start the story of Jesus in a manger. It rewinds all the way back, before time itself. It wants us to know, right from the first word, who Jesus truly is. So today, let’s go back to that very beginning, to understand the one who stands at the center of everything.
