Prophets Reproach finds us in Jeremiah as Judah’s backsliding is meeting with the warnings of the Lord. These warnings and messages were given by Jeremiah, sometimes being referred to as the weeping prophet. For the dire message and the situation in the tiny kingdom of Judah was troubled by sin and rebelled. The pressure was tremendous. We look at this situation and then take a hard look at America and the nations today. How would they react? Further we investigate other important aspects of the Prophet in scripture. Prophets Reproach is found here in Jeremiah when he cries to the Lord “I was deceived, I am in derision daily, everyone mocketh me” which was the result of His warning #Judah. Judah from the King to the princes, and in the #Temple, with the #Priests, the Prophets, and the people on the street became the #Prophetsenemy. So much so, he decided not to warn anymore. The #Lord was stronger than He, and the truth was, Jeremiah could not help but give forth the #WordoftheLord. You believe you have had trouble, imagine being shunned, and the entirety of #Jerusalem and #Judah hated the message which #Jeremiah gave. That is the Prophets Reproach when in a divine call, in giving the message and being #obedient to the #Lord; the #peoplereject both the #message and the #Prophet. #ProphetsReproach

O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
