This Week, we talked about me going down a rabbit hole on social posts for German Unity Day and German American Day a few days later. Once I was done about 3min in we got down to business and the things you can do to combat job search anxiety

In this episode, we are going to talk about what really holds us back from looking for a new job! Let's call it, its fear!

The uncertainty, the putting ourselves out there once again to have someone make a judgment call, and they don't even know you let alone have a real idea of what value you can bring to the team.

How to combat this feeling - By doing the things that are outside your comfort zone, once we start doing the hard stuff many times a weight is lifted

Wow, 12 weeks, 12 episodes. For me, doing live streams and podcasts was something I thought I would never feel comfortable doing. But look at me now!

That brings me to this week's episode, The Importance of Having High Self-Esteem & Confidence & The Impact It Has On Your Job Search.

A lot of my clients struggle with this at varying levels, especially if they are not big on the social media thing. Some of them think What do you mean, I have to put myself out there and comment on sh*t and ask people to give me recommendations, ew!

I get it doing posts and lives and a podcast is out of my old comfort zone but now things have changed for me and they can for you too if you struggle with Self Esteem and Confidence as it relates to your job search.

here are 3 Things You Can Do to Regain Your Sense of Self-Worth & Confidence

1. Challenge your negative thoughts. When you have negative thoughts about yourself, challenge them. Ask yourself if they are really true. Are you being fair to yourself?
2. Practice positive self-talk. Talk to yourself the way you would talk to a friend. Be kind and supportive.
3. Do things that make you feel good about yourself. This could mean spending time with loved ones, doing things you enjoy, or helping others.

The exhilarating feeling of landing a job offer is often overshadowed by the anxiety of negotiating the salary. Many of us tend to shy away from asking for what we truly want or need, settling for whatever is offered without countering. In this podcast, we will explore the reasons behind this reluctance and provide insights on overcoming it.
