What was your first job? And how old were you when you got it?
You may have started working in high school or even earlier like I did. But more and more, I find that parents look for ways to give their kids a better life than they had, and don’t require teens to hold a job. Personally, I think that steals part of your teen’s development! Work isn’t just about a paycheck, it’s about developing skills and discipline!
Think about it. At a job, your teen will learn to obey authority. He’ll discover the value of hard work. And a job may spark new ways to use his gifts and talents.
