The World Cup, Chickens and Other Animals

Listen Later

In this short summer catch-up episode, I dive into the fascinating meanings behind some of the World Cup jersey colours and the national pride and symbolism they represent. As an England supporter, I'm hoping the Three Lions can go all the way this tournament!

I also discuss FIFA's new red card infringements, including Article 27 which does not explicitly state that a player must serve a suspension immediately, and sound off about the hydration breaks.

Away from football, I share a few updates from home, including a follow-up to our previous episode about raising chickens. We recently took our roosters to a farm sanctuary, enjoyed pet-sitting an adorable bunny and some fascinating hermit crabs, and discovered that hermit crabs can live 30–50 years in the wild, something I never expected!

This is a short, relaxed episode to say hello, share a few thoughts, and wish everyone a fantastic summer. Thanks for listening, and enjoy the episode!
