Mike Stevenson proudly assumes the designated role of Gatekeeper to the deceased occupants of the Worthington House -- a mansion built in 1841 by Captain John Worthington, a wealthy Quaker landowner.
Mike has spent years investigating the murder of a sixteen year old girl, a case unremembered via the potent combination of time and a cover up ... by immediate family and local media at the time for the sake of ... well, we don't know yet. Faced with this reality, Mike relies on informants no longer bound by the yoke of mortal concerns and convention.
