Welcome to Rock & Roll Flashback!    

Dozens of excellent musicians, including several skilled percussionists, participated in Los Angeles area session recordings of Top 40 hits during the 1960's and 1970's.  That informal group of sidemen (and one sidewoman) were part of one of the most influential assemblages of session musicians ever pulled together in one room.  They are now referred to as The Wrecking Crew.  I'm Jumpin' John McDermott, and today 
- in The Wrecking Crew, Part 2 -  I am going to discuss the contributions of one of those session drummers:  percussionist Hal Blaine.
