Cold Open

SCENE 1

PULASKI, VIRGINIA; JUNE 3, 1985

Outside the house, it’s a cute little thing. Inside the house, it’s dark. 

We see the house is under construction as the dog leaves his food dish and goes into the room with his owner, Duane Barry, who is lying on a bed. 

The TV goes static-y, which worries the dog, then we see strange beings wandering outside. The dog growls, whimpers then runs out of the room. Duane wakes with a start. Apparently, he knows what they are. Aliens. Which we actually see. 

He yells “no, no! Not again!” As a UFO shines a light on his house and his dog barks at it. 

We watch the dog watch his handler off-screen for direction. Good dog.
