Traditional Land ownership 

Today we engage an elder - Kgoshi Phaahla, who is also the Chairperson of Contralesa in Limpopo. We’re talking about traditional land ownership and how it affects the socio-economic welfare of rural communities. 

Kgoshi would like to draw some attention to the entrenched poverty in rural areas that is caused by lack of entitlement to land; AND the beneficiation of rural communities from the mineral resources that they are supposed to be getting from the land that they are supposed to be owning.
