As Ugandans get ready for their general elections in February 2021, Musuveni has been tipped to retain his seat in office as he has rural strongholds remain his main constituency. That is the least of his worries.

The emergence of Bobi Wine and the People Power movement has captured the minds of the urban youth with a parliamentary victory in 2017. This is another typical example of how youth mobilization has forced dictators to step down from office, after years of authoritarian dictatorship. Think about Mali earlier this year and Sudan last year.
