Members Reviews:
This Book is a Product Review, Not a Guide
This book calls itself a guide for staging a play, but it is instead a review of the various products available for theaters. It discusses lighting systems and sound systems that are available, seating solutions, storage solutions. But in each case it refers to a professional consultant or distributor that you need to contact. If this was honestly titled a "Product " Review" I might have given it 3 stars. But this is not a guide that I can find useful as a theater manager. Even if it discussed some of the technical details that we might need to discuss with a contractor or consultant, that would have been helpful. But this is a broad overview of products and specialists. And I mean broad when I say it. It does not even specify the features of various manufacturers and products. Much of the info could be learned by calling consultants or using the Internet.
