This International Day for Countering Hate Speech we speak to Warren Venter, Heasmaster and Guidance Counselor at St Martin's School about how young people can be better equiped to identify and deal with hate speech. In today's world people have access to global communities and often times the power to engage with these communities comes with the responsibility to be respectful of others and their views. Navigating life for young people can prove slightly challenging because of cancel culture where people exist on both sides of the cancelling and hate speech can seep in through the cracks of criticism.
