This week we will examine the baptism of Jesus according to the accounts of the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke). We not only want to highlight the transition of John’s ministry to Jesus’ ministry; but we also want to see the theological ramifications that this particular texts proposes and the practical application that this text leaves with us as a charge to our Christian service. I assure you we will never look at the baptism of Jesus the same.
