We dive into the episode, getting to know Theo, his background, and how he initially got into web3. We discuss VitaDAO, and its mission, goals, and governance.
We discuss the power of crypto technology in regards to funding, noting how much easier it is to fund meaningful projects with cryptocurrency as opposed to traditional funding. Although speculation plays a part, and markets are volatile, Theo looks to the future optimistically. He sees the potential of DAOs to create incredible new opportunities and bring like minded individuals together to accomplish things they truly care about.
We discuss the importance of sound governance within DAOs and we touch on the necessity to beware of bad actors in the space. Theo also walks us through the process VitaDAO goes through to select the research projects they fund. The DAO utilizes both off-chain and on-chain mechanisms as well as three rounds of selection to ensure they make the best decisions possible.
