Language is something that we take for granted. We use words constantly, but rarely do we stop and consider what words are, or how words work. How is it that a person makes a noise or writes certain symbols and symbols and in doing so communicates a content? This show starts off considering questions in this sphere and then moves to ask similar questions related to talking about God. Atheists often contend that theological language is meaningless, yet for believers it is some of the most meaningful language that we use. Is this difference merely a language game? Is it possible to talk in a meaningful way about God? Or about anything? And is "Girl, I like your face" a good pick-up line?
