Theology Tambayan

In this Episode, we talk about "A Theology of the Hidden"

"'I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children."

-Matthew 11:25

Have you ever wondered why there was little to no writings about Jesus between the time that he was found in the temple as a child, and the time he was baptized by St. John the Baptist 18 years later?

A lot could happen in 18 years. Aren't you curious why the gospel writers/historians didn't write about those years of Jesus' life? Did he go to school? What kind of work did he do? Did he travel outside of Galilee? Did he encounter new friends?

Join me as I talk about hidden years of Jesus and the various theories and Church teachings surrounding this mysterious gap in Jesus' life.

And many more!

In this episode we talk about "A Theology of Mysteries"

"Miracles are not contrary to nature, but only contrary to what we know about nature."

-St. Augustine

Recently a story about a mysterious set of stairs being built in a Church was making the rounds on the internet. After searching for quite a while, I saw that it was not an urban internet legend, but rather a genuine story told by the sisters of Loreto. This made me curious and led me to ask the question, what are the other "mysterious" stories that can be discovered in our Catholic Tradition.

Let's talk about the "Miraculous" Stairs of St. Joseph and other "miraculous" stories in our Catholic tradition!

And many more!

"The people you love will change you

The things you have learned will guide you

And nothing on Earth can silence

The quiet voice still inside you

And when that voice starts to whisper

"Moana, you've come so far"

Moana, listen

Do you know who you are?"
