ThePoeticCritic and I have a discussion about "The Lost Boys" and Joel Schumacher does not get to heated because it was so easy to talk up the importance of "Near Dark" and the how that film has many parallel's with other Kathryn Bigelow features. We get to have a discussion about the absurdist humor of John Waters and how Woody Allen, for better or worse, is one of his closest contemporaries. This also leads me to ask if we needed a more absurd Stanley Kubrick.
