Welcome To Fatherhood

There He Goes: Industrial Revolution Portrait

Listen Later

This second stop along this historical fatherhood journey stops at the period of what Americans call the Industrial Revolution. This week, I try answering these questions:

But how did fatherhood during this era play out? What did it look like? How did the rise of industries and factories change a father’s involvement with his children and his spouse? And how is this ideal relevant or irrelevant to my time today in 2021?

We dive into all of this after first paying homage to the late great Kobe Bryant and those who died along with him in the tragic January 26, 2020 helicopter accident. I pay a tribute to Kobe by talking about what he means to me personally as a fan of the game of basketball.

Thank you so much for journeying along!
