“There is a light in you. It’s easy to forget sometimes. It’s easier to go looking for bright lights outside of ourselves, but these are just distractions from the light that God has placed deep inside you. 

Take a few minutes each day to sit quietly, alone, in a peaceful place, and become aware of the light within you. 

Then as you venture out into the world, be mindful that many people you encounter can benefit from the light God has placed in you. It manifests as hope and joy every time we help lighten the burden of others in even the smallest ways. 

“You are the light of the world,” was Jesus’ counsel. 

As you venture out into the world, it also important to be mindful of the reality that there are many things and sometimes people who will try to put your light out. This will manifest in negativity, hopelessness, meaninglessness, and resentment, to name but a few. 

“You are the light of the world.” Tend that light today so that you can share it everywhere you go.
