The beginning of the year is usually a tough period for most people, especially creatives. There is a lot of silence and "lack of movement" because there aren't a lot of consistent gigs coming through. As a person who is going through this period of "silence" myself,  I have recently changed my perspective when it comes to these type of days in one's journey.
