The story follows Davy Cooper, a former commando and explosives expert who, down on his luck, is manipulated into joining a gang of criminals led by the persuasive Adolf Carter. Initially reluctant, Cooper is drawn into a series of heists, culminating in an ambitious plan to tunnel from a hospital's operating theatre into a neighbouring bank vault.
