The most important relationship in your life is a vertical one, between you and God. But if that vertical relationship is healthy, it overflows to become horizontal as well, with our relationships with one another. Jesus said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (Jn 13:35). And for Christians, the clearest, most visible expression of living our lives together is the Sunday gathering.
