Jennifer Gauntt has spent her academic and professional careers at Sam Houston State University.

She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from SHSU in 2003 and recently graduated with her master's degree in English.

She currently is the communications manager for the Sam Houston State University Marketing and Communications Office, where she coordinates news and feature articles that appear on both Today@Sam and the SHSU homepage; assists with writing and editing for several university publications; and works with media relations.
