In this episode, I argue that there’s no such thing as a non-religious state, making the following points:-Religion is a notion of the highest good.-Religious neutrality is impossible for a state because it needs a hierarchy of goods.-Freedom doesn’t work as neutral ground.-States with “invisible” religions are merciless to non-believers.-This has practical consequences for daily life.
