In wanting to learn if recycling is all it's cracked up to be, they interview a longtime New York City sanitation worker named Oscar. In talking to Oscar, they find out what percentage of items we recycle actually get recycled, the items that are most and least used, why some cities recycle more than others, and if the benefit of recycling outweighs the cost associated with it.
