It breaks my heart when I find out that anotha one of the youngn's done got killed. Columbia, SC has lost so many young lives to gun violence. The easiest thing to do is to find somebody to blame... The parents... the friends they hung around..... The police.... And yes I believe there is a responsibility we all have as a community in the lives of our youth. But it's bigger than just telling them the right thing to do.

A lot of our youth really don't know who they are. That's why they do the things they do, they are struggling with their identity. As people who have been tranfromed by Jesus it is our responsibility to share with our youth that they were made in God's image and God's likeness.. In other word's God perfect hands made them to look like him. 

God has given them value. They are significant. They are important. Not because of anything they did but because of everything God did in making them. My prayer is that we as a people would value ourselves and one another as God's creation who was made to represent God.

We can only find our true identity by giving the false one we have to Jesus as he offer us our true identity as an IMAGE OF GOD!
