In Thessalonians 2, Paul writes the Thessalonians Christians to refute slanderous accusations made by his Jewish enemies. He reminds them of his loving ministry and holy life among them as proof of his pure motives. He does this to strengthen their commitment to the gospel since they are being attacked by the same Jewish enemies.
