Ahoy hoy #oldtimers and welcome back to another romantic episode of As Time Goes By! This week we are memorializing the late, great Peter Bogdanovich by taking a look at his most personal work with 1981's They All Laughed!

Troy begins the episode as usual and sports a sweats while advocating for Chattanooga arts! Next, Troy dives into the reasonings behind the choice of film in both Bogdanovich's sudden passing as well as his filmography. We also set up and discuss the film's tragic distribution issues following the passing of Dorothy Stratten.

Which is not to say this is a sad film...in fact it's a romantic comedy! We dive into the disguise of the detective agency in conjunction to the directorial disguise, highlight some integral personal affinities to the film stars of late, and round it all out with a frustrating transformation of attitude.  "Unfortunately honey you're some podcaster... and you're very mean to me."
