They Built Black Community On Toxic Land

New Orleans Built Homes on a toxic landfill and encouraged black residents to move there. The predominantly Black Community ( Gordon Plaza ) built on toxic land have not reimbursed for their decades of exposure to toxic chemicals. The area has been nicknamed " Cancer Alley."   Environmental Racism is one of the biggest factors in systemic racism. Plants that dump toxic waste and pollute the environment are located in Minority communities. Decades of segregation, redlining, Urban Renewal, Gentrification,  has made housing in African American communities a pitfall.
