A huge fossil was discovered in the Augusta Mountains of Nevada and it could provide insight into how modern whales developed. The fossil belongs to "ichthyosaurs" which was a type of large aquatic reptile. It currently holds the title of the first giant animal to ever inhabit Earth. The creature weighted 45 tons!
