Have you ever encountered an Angel? Well, I have not but I love hearing the stories of people who have.
I’m not an expert on Angels and, most likely, none of my guests will be Angel experts either. But they are the best authority on their own personal experiences with unexplained encounters that left them thinking, “That might have been an angel.” Many people have experienced some type of signal that gets their attention at a crucial moment and, ultimately, changes the course of their destiny. They might have felt a phantom nudge when no one was around or a gentle breeze coming from nowhere that reset their situational awareness just long enough to notice something they hadn’t noticed before. Sometimes that jolts their attention just long enough to set them on a different chain of actions leading to completely different destinations and circumstances than they anticipated.
But I like to think of Angels in terms of function rather than form; what we expect Angels to be. Guardians, guides, benefactors, protectors and an endless list of of problem solvers that come to our rescue in moments of need. In short, any unexpected intervention that improves a situation can feel like an angelic happenstance.
In that respect, a chance meeting with a fellow human responding to any of our universal needs for protection or provision can feel like a divine messenger showing up to save the day… or, at least, that moment. They may not have a celestial station in the hierarchy of Angels in a structured belief system but, as members of our own species, they’re sort of lateral Angels who step up in our moments of need. I do not offer any theological explanation of angels because I found that most major religions have their own array of divine beings who serve as messengers from their Creator.
My name is Tricia Blair and this podcast is a collection of informal conversations with people who experienced something that left them thinking … “That might have been an Angel!”
