Jason and his mother have rampaged their way through the woods around Camp Crystal Lake, and even somehow to Manhattan and Space, but there is always another final Friday. Yes we are back, and yes Salem is still alive. We are celebrating the dog days of summer by going back to camp. Camp Crystal lake, that is. That’s right, we are doing one of the biggest horror franchises all month long. We start with the first three Friday the 13th films, before they started having tag lines.

he horror comedy has a long and storied history and we have just scratched the surface here with our month long spotlight. We cap it off with a selection of more modern horror comedies, and see if the genre has aged like a fine wine, or has it turned to vinegar.

The vampire comedy has a long and storied history. We could have many episodes on Dracula parodies alone. But one has had a sequel, a remake, and a sequel to the remake. We will not be watching the remake sequel, but the rest are here for your auditory pleasure. Let’s dive into Fright Night.
