I introduce a powerful toolbox: Data, Empathy, and Communication (DEC) — a lens for navigating our unique identity and experiences in a world where there's no such thing as free lunch. 

In this debut episode, we explore the ongoing reality that despite all the brilliance, ambition, and greatness of Africans in the diaspora — “they still don’t get us.”   

As a Nigerian “other,” I reflect on how using Data (where we're coming from, as it is), Empathy (understanding the intentions behind our cultural practices, how we are, wherever we are), and Communication (translating meaning across diverse audiences) can help us move from frustration to strategy.
