Plans fail. So what can we do about it? But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. I will bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication. Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets. (Micah 7:7–10) Karen Update: Found out yesterday that my wife may never walk again. She has some improvement in her arms but is still a quadriplegic. She still has a feeding tube but is eating regular food too. The therapist thinks she can go home now, and I am trying to prepare myself for what that will look like over the next few weeks. Gotta get the house set up for long term care, and probably get a live in nurse. Mentally, she is 80% herself. She thinks she's ok, (with bouts of memory loss and dreams she remembers as real events ). I know she is not. Seeing how she has already survived 3 brain surgeries, two bouts with pneumonia, two blood clots and a usually fatal case of fungal meningitis, she might be dancing by Christmas, 'cause that is how we roll.
