Jesus is serious when he addresses sin. We don’t like to talk about sin and the sinful nature everyone of us has. Sin is to miss the mark. A standard of perfection that comes from God. Every single one of us are sinners. We justify sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves – the truth is not in us. If we do not recognise and acknowledge that we are sinners, we lead ourselves into a very dangerous place. We need to guard our hearts above all else. Unless we see ourselves as sinners, we will not see a need for a saviour in our lives.
