Things That Are Good

In this episode, I'm joined by Allison McLaughlin where we talk about only children! We discuss the stigma around both being and having an only child, her experiences with her own family, the pressures all moms feel from society, the really positive traits in only children and how every family (no matter how it's made up) is good!

It's true - Advertising is a Thing That Is Good (we promise)! Sean (who works at the amazing agency Civilian) and I discuss our time in the advertising industry and how our careers and opinions on it have changed over time. We talk about the good that advertising can bring into the world, benefit corporations and support industries popping up around them, the (actual) millennial generation, and our personal experiences at our own "Mad Men"-type big agencies.

In this episode, we talk about Christine's experience as a working parent, particularly during these weird times we're in now. We discuss an appreciation for teachers, taking time for the memory makers, a "work-life harmony" vs. a "work-life balance" and finding out what works for your family (along with some thoughts on how you might be able to make some adjustments to get it). 

This week I'm joined by my husband Matthew Kelly. We talk about our shared love of video games, including some nostalgia over early gaming experiences and connections with characters and stories. We discuss how gaming set Matthew on his current career path, as well as the social nature of some games (and how it has led to us making real IRL friends) and some of our thoughts on how to get started playing games.
