This is the second sermon in my 2020 October sermon series, "Things That Go Bump in the Bible," in honor of how October is often associated with Halloween, trick-or-treating, and scary movies. During this month we will be focusing on some of the monsters and scary things that we find in the Bible, as well as how understand fear and deal with the things that make us afraid. This series does not use the Revised Common Lectionary selections for any specific week or year. The Scripture choices for this message are: Job 41:1-14; Psalm 74:13–23; Proverbs 12:25-28.
