*** Because of what has happened and is happening in our country right now, I am interjecting the following messages published in April of 2020. The Word of the Lord in them will seem like they were written for this hour of trial that our country is facing right now. The messages are for us right now! Be mightily blessed!
Yours truly is by no means a doom and gloom preacher, but I do have some Scriptural truth for you right now that will change your perspective on what is going on spiritually. R U READY 4 This?
Though God did not send the Coronavirus (or any other virus for that matter), COVID-19 has come to America because of an immense open door to the enemy. (*This was written before I had the medical information that Covid-19 was never as bad as espoused by the media.)
Sin and the anti-God and anti-Bible stand of a large part of America have set the country up for plagues. Wait please and don’t turn this off. Read this closely and look at the verses below.
Any way you slice and dice it, COVID-19 is here because of darkness in the land. It is not here because of faith, repentance. and prayer, but it is here because of a lack of them! Only repentance, faith, and prayer will stop the encroachment of this unseen enemy in the land. Anti-malaria drugs and social distancing will help, but repentance opens the door for God to move and bring the destruction to a standstill. Not only that, repentance will bring healing to the land. This is a truth many ignore in Scripture, and yet it is all over the Bible in both Testaments. The majority in this country must again cry out to God, repent, and pray for restoration and healing to come. Am I just barking out some form of a doom and gloom message, or is this a clear message in Scripture that needs to be emphasized and taught right now all over America? Read the Scriptures below and you tell me if I am far off, or if this can’t get any clearer.
13 When I (God) close up the sky so that it doesn’t rain, or command locusts to devour the land’s vegetation, or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who belong to me, humble themselves, pray, seek to please me, and repudiate their sinful practices, then I will respond from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:13, 14 NET)
The way God sends a plague is by withdrawing His protection after He utters a judgment. That is another message, but God is not the One who directly "sends" sickness or disease. Trust me, I have a lot of Scripture references on that subject, but it is not one we want to study here. Satan is the author of sickness and disease, and the devil is always looking for those he can devour. (1 Peter 5:8) He can be resisted and overcome in the Name of Jesus by anyone that takes a stand against him. Where there exists an opportunity for him, he will take it and set up camp if he is allowed to do so. (Ephesians 4:27) Don’t let him do it! Don't put up with him for a second!
On a national level, things can get very bad when the majority in the nation seek after evil and not holiness before the Lord. At those times, your faith can still work for you and yours, but the land will eventually suffer very bad consequences.
Did you see that in the Scriptures I just quoted above? Mostly you hear 2 Chronicles 7:14, but verse 13 is rarely quoted. What should people do when a plague comes? Should they curse God and their leaders? Should they continue in their God-hating activities of sin and darkness? Should they allow tyrannical local governments to shut down our churches? NO! They need to (1) humble themselves, (2) pray, (3) seek to please God, (4) repudiate their sinful practices, and THEN God will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and HEAL their land!
I think the clarity of this instruction is monumental at this time. It must be acted upon.
Church, it is time to repent! America, it’s time to repent! It is time to humble ourselves, pray, seek to please the Lord, repudiate any sinful practices so the Lord will respond from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
