  • Ep 44 - Why We're Always Online But Still Feel Lonely

We're more connected than ever. We can message our friends instantly, watch their daily updates, and stay in touch with people across the world. Yet, many of us still experience loneliness. In this episode of Thinking Out Loud with Purpose, we explore the difference between being connected online and feeling genuinely close to someone. We talk about social media, modern friendships, emotional vulnerability, and why meaningful connection requires more than likes, messages, and constant availability.

  • Ep 43 - DOOM SCROLLING & MENTAL OVERLOAD

We pick up our phones for a few minutes… and somehow an hour disappears.

One video becomes ten. One headline becomes twenty. One scroll turns into another, and before we know it, our minds feel completely exhausted.

In this episode, we’re talking about doom scrolling, mental overload, and why constantly consuming information doesn’t necessarily mean we’re more informed. We’ll explore why it’s so difficult to stop scrolling, what endless content can do to our attention and emotions, and how we can start creating a healthier relationship with our screens without feeling like we have to disappear from the internet completely.

  • Ep 42 - Why Slow Growth Is Still Growth

    What if you're not behind?

What if you're simply growing at a pace that doesn't look impressive from the outside?

In this episode of Thinking Out Loud with Purpose, we talk about slow growth, invisible progress, comparison, ambition, and the pressure to have your life figured out quickly.

Because not all progress comes with a promotion, a number, a milestone, or a big announcement.

Sometimes growth looks like learning a new skill.

Sometimes it's becoming better at handling rejection.

Sometimes it's managing your money differently.

Sometimes it's learning to trust yourself.

Sometimes it's simply realizing that you're not the same person you were a year ago.

But there's also an important difference between slow growth and being stuck — and understanding that difference matters.

You don't have to rush your life simply because someone else's timeline looks faster.

Because growth doesn't always announce itself.

Sometimes you only recognize it when you look back and realize:

I'm not where I used to be.

  • Ep 41 - Consistency Without Burnout

We hear “be consistent” all the time.

Show up every day. Stay disciplined. Keep pushing. Don't break the streak.

But what happens when consistency starts becoming another reason to exhaust yourself?

In this episode, we talk about the difference between healthy consistency and constantly pushing yourself, why rest doesn't mean you're giving up, and how to keep working toward your goals without turning your entire life into a productivity project.

Because some days you might give 100%. Other days, maybe 50%. And sometimes, all you have is 10%.

That doesn't mean you've stopped caring.

    It means you're human.

We talk about sustainable habits, realistic expectations, social media's influence on productivity culture, the pressure to achieve everything in your twenties, and why slowing down doesn't necessarily mean you're moving backward.

Because consistency isn't about never stopping.

It's about knowing how to come back.

  • Ep 40 - WHAT IF YOU DON’T GET THE JOB YOU WANTED?

What happens when you give an interview your best, hope for the offer, and then hear, “We’ve decided to move forward with another candidate”?

In this episode of Thinking Out Loud with Purpose, we talk about job rejection, disappointment, comparison, and the pressure we put on ourselves to get everything right. Because not getting one job doesn’t mean you’re not good enough—it simply means that particular opportunity didn’t work out.

Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t getting rejected. It’s finding the courage to try again.

  • Ep 39 - Feeling Behind When Everyone Else Seems Successful

Have you ever looked around and felt like everyone else is moving forward while you're still trying to figure things out?

Someone got the job. Someone got promoted. Someone started a business. Someone seems to have their entire future planned out.

And suddenly, you start wondering: Am I behind?

In this episode, we talk about the pressure to have your life figured out in your twenties, the invisible parts of other people's journeys that we never see, career pressure, different timelines, and why success doesn't have to look the same for everyone.

Because sometimes we're not actually behind.

We're just measuring our lives against someone else's timeline.

So what happens when we stop asking, "Why am I not where they are?" and start asking, "Where do I actually want to go?"

  • Ep 38 - Major Geopolitical Events That Shaped the World 🌍

The world we live in today didn't happen overnight.

Wars, revolutions, partitions, political crises and conflicts have shaped borders, alliances, economies and the balance of power we see today.

In this episode, we travel through some of the major geopolitical events that changed the international system — from World War I and the Russian Revolution to World War II, the Partition of India, the Cold War, 9/11, the Mumbai attacks, the Arab Spring, Russia-Ukraine, the Israel-Gaza conflict, India-Pakistan tensions and the ongoing Iran crisis.

But this isn't just a list of historical events.

It's about understanding the connections between them — how one event creates consequences, how those consequences shape future conflicts, and how history continues to influence the geopolitical world we live in today.

Because sometimes, to understand what's happening in the world right now, you have to ask:

What happened before this that made it possible?

  • Ep 37 - The Revolt of 1857: The Uprising That Changed British Rule in India

    surrounding the greased cartridges.

But the revolt was much bigger than that.

In this episode, we go back to the political, economic and military conditions that built resentment against the British East India Company, from the Doctrine of Lapse and the annexation of Awadh to land revenue policies, the decline of Indian handicrafts and discrimination within the army.

We also look at the Enfield rifle controversy, Mangal Pandey, the outbreak at Meerut, the major centres of the revolt, and leaders such as Bahadur Shah Zafar, Rani Lakshmibai, Nana Sahib, Tatya Tope, Begum Hazrat Mahal and Kunwar Singh.

And most importantly, we ask what happened after the revolt failed.

Because 1857 didn't overthrow British rule—but it changed the way India was governed.

The East India Company's rule came to an end, India came under the direct authority of the British Crown, and the memory of the revolt continued to shape the history of resistance to colonial rule.

What happens when an uprising fails—but changes the system it was fighting against?

That's where the story of 1857 becomes much more interesting.

  • Ep 36 - Financial Dependence vs Emotional Dependence

We often talk about financial independence as if money is the only thing that determines whether we're independent.

But dependence can exist in more than one form.

You can depend on someone financially.

You can depend on someone emotionally.

And sometimes, the two overlap in ways we don't even recognise.

In this episode of Thinking Out Loud with Purpose, we break down financial dependence and emotional dependence, how they can develop, how they affect relationships and decision-making, and why becoming independent doesn't necessarily mean refusing help from everyone around you.

Because independence isn't always about doing everything alone.

Sometimes, it's about knowing where you genuinely need support—and where you've stopped trusting yourself to stand on your own.

  • Ep 35 - How Financial Anxiety Affects Mental Health

    Money isn't just about numbers.

Sometimes, not knowing whether you'll have enough money, constantly worrying about expenses, feeling guilty after spending, or being scared of an unexpected expense can affect your mental health far more than we realise.

In this episode of Thinking Out Loud with Purpose, we talk about financial anxiety—where it comes from, how it shows up in everyday life, why earning more doesn't automatically make it disappear, and how our relationship with money can affect the way we think, sleep, make decisions, and even enjoy our lives.

Because sometimes, the hardest part about money isn't how much you have.

It's how much you're constantly thinking about it.
