Some e-hailing drivers say they are hoping government will heed their call and assist them as they are struggling to make ends meet. The drivers are on a three-day strike over the current e-hailing model in the country. They want the industry to be regulated and legislated. They say that the current model is not profitable, with ride rates remaining the same for years despite petrol hikes.
