The widow of slain top cop Lieutenant-Colonel Charl Kinnear, says she is confident that justice will be served and those responsible for his murder will be brought to book. Kinnear, a senior investigator in the Anti-Gang Unit, was gunned down near his Bishop Lavis home on the Cape Flats yesterday. He was involved in the investigation of several high-profile cases. Police Minister Bheki Cele visited the family in the Western Cape and called for an immediate investigation into why the protection service assigned to Kinnear had been withdrawn.
