Zimbabwean police on Friday arrested former finance minister and top MDC opposition alliance official, Tendai Biti on charges of assaulting a Russian national last month. Biti, was freed on ZW$10 000 bail on Saturday after spending the night behind bars, amid complaints that the country’s police were acting on instruction from the ruling ZANU PF.
