The build-up to 1994 was no doubt a very busy and troublesome period for the country. The political leadership on all sides were doing all they can to push bring stability to the country and getting the nation to be one and reconcile. We saw how Madiba lifted the Rugby World Cup trophy with Francois Pienaar in 1995 as South Africans cheered. But now commentators are starting to ask what happened to that spirit? Has the much preached rainbow nation lost its uniting colours? Where have we gone wrong and how do we restore?
