Government's policy on official as well as state funerals is being reviewed. This follows exorbitant amounts of money awarded through tenders for the funeral of some of the high profile individuals. The latest funeral was that of former Rivonia Treason Trialist Andrew Mlangeni where prices were allegedly also inflated. The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Patricia De Lille says government also wants to cap the amount of money spent on these funerals.
