The Unpaid Benefits Campaign has partnered with Open Secrets and will open a public forum for individuals, activists and to share the impact of unpaid benefits has had oncommunities. The hearings are being held to highlight the

failure of the financial sector to pay out the benefit claims and

hear the testimonies by affected individuals. Up to 5 million

people in South Africa have not received pensions owing to

them or their beneficiaries from private pension funds.
