The United National Transport Union yesterday (Monday) called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to deploy the South African National Defence Force to safeguard what is left of the passenger rail infrastructure. Railway infrastructure has been vandalised for many years across the country with government seemingly unable to deal with the situation. As far as the union is concerned, where are things going wrong and who is behind the thuggery?
