Free State residents have expressed their anger over the poor conditions they are living in after the provincial government spent 255-million rand on an asbestos roof audit project that did not benefit them. Last week, seven people accused of fraud, corruption and money laundering appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court after the Hawks arrested them in the Free State, Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal. They are facing charges relating to the multi-million rand asbestos housing project that dates back to 2014. Residents of Dark City in Bloemfontein say they are relieved the wheels of justice are turning for those who involved in the scandal. Ishmael Modiba reports...

Ishmael, the ANC in the Free State held a couple of meetings around the issues, what can you tell us on that?

Last week Friday we saw some suspects appearing in court, are there more expected this morning?

LINK: We go now to KZN where a former KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner and a police captain were expected to hand themselves over to the police in Durban this morning (Monday) this after the Investigative Directorate of the National Prosecuting Authority issued a warrant of arrest for them and to tell us what’s happening there

LINK: In Limpopo three more people including a former Member of Parliament and a bank employee were arrested in connection with theft and fraud of four-point-eight-million-rand belonging to the Makgatho Community Property Association in that province.
The suspects allegedly connived in irregularly awarding a farming tender to a company linked to the wife of a senior municipal official of the Molelemole Local Municipality.
