This season of Lent, leading us to Easter 2024, we'll be walking through a series called Wounded Words: Jesus Speaks from the Cross. The series highlights the seven last "words" (phrases) Jesus speaks while being crucified. Themes and quotes from the book Cross-Shattered Christ (by Stanley Hauerwas) will be sprinkled throughout. In this episode, Jesus utters his shortest phrase from the Cross. His thirst reminds us of his humanity, but also points to deeper ways to think about what Christ is accomplishing at Calvary.
